Certain countries’ actions have discredited UN: Ahmadinejad
In his 17th provincial trip, the Iranian president spoke to gatherings of people in the cities of Bojnurd, Faruj, Esfarayen, Maneh, Samarqan, and Jajarm.
Referring to the ongoing atrocities the Zionist regime is committing in Lebanon, Ahmadinejad said that the histories of Israel and the United States, as the leader and planner of these brutal crimes, will be stained by an eternal black mark.
The level of their respect for human rights and democracy is manifested in Lebanon, he observed.
The fabricated Zionist regime has slaughtered innocent civilians in the region during the six decades of its deceptions, he stated.
This devilish regime bears no fruit but aggression, intimidation, and corruption, he said.
Ahmadinejad pointed to various countries’ ocean of wrath, saying, “Nations behold these incidents as well as the positions of governments and international organizations toward the recent crises in the region. “People will determine their future relations in accordance with their countries’ stances toward developments in Palestine and Lebanon.”
Preventing the declaration of a ceasefire in Lebanon will eternally tarnish the image of the UN Security Council, and particularly the United States, in the eyes of the world, Ahmadinejad said.
The United States and Britain think they can create new opportunities for themselves in the Middle East by carrying out attacks on Palestine and Lebanon, but they should realize that they are the Zionists’ accomplices in committing heinous crimes, he added.
“We have all the talent necessary for development and progress. Justice means that the government fairly distributes all facilities among all cities and provinces,” the president told residents of North Khorasan Province.
He went on to say that North Khorasan Province, which was recently established after the former province of Khorasan was divided into three provinces, must define a new identity for itself, adding that the personalities of the province should be introduced to the rest of the country.
Ahmadinejad also emphasized that all parts of the country should become economically developed.
